Hal Killam BA, CFP, CLU

Hal was born in Moncton, N.B. He graduated from Mount Allison University with an Arts Degree with a major in Psychology. His first fulltime job was with the Federal Department of Justice as a Social Worker. By the time he began his career in the financial services industry he and his wife Carolyn had two children, Kim and Cindy. His family now includes four grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.

Hal’s extensive experience in financial services has all been with two companies. During his first twenty years with a major Canadian life insurer he had a diverse career in sales, training , and sales management. On May 1, 1985 he established the senior Franchise for Money Concepts Canada Limited.

In addition to being active in many industry related organizations over the years Hal’s community involvement has included being president of two different Kiwanis clubs and a member of the Saint John Board of Trade, and Chair of the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation.

Photography has been a long time interest and he has exhibited his work in a number of individual and group shows. He also enjoys wood working and golf.
